Consulting retainers

A strategic partner, every month

Most charities don't need another big report. They need someone alongside them, month after month, helping the important things actually get done.

Why a retainer

Sustainable support, not fundraising sprints

A lot of groups live in sprint mode. A grant deadline, a gala, an appeal. Everyone pushes hard, then collapses, then starts again from scratch.

A retainer works the other way. We build the things that keep paying off: a funding pipeline that is always moving, systems that save you hours, and a story that brings people back. A bit every month, so it lasts.

Good fit if you

  • Have a big heart for the work and no spare hands
  • Don't have a tech or marketing person
  • Keep starting projects that stall
  • Want a board and team pulling the same way
  • Are ready to work steadily, not frantically

What a month includes

Three areas of work, one monthly rhythm

Each retainer is shaped around your organisation. Most months cover these three areas.

Funding pipeline

Grant research and applications, donor follow-up, partnership approaches and a clear calendar, so money is always coming in from more than one place.

Platform and systems

Website, donation set-up, simple tools and processes that take admin off your plate and make it easy for people to give and get involved.

Storytelling

Turning what you already do into stories, updates and reports that move supporters, funders and your own team.

A monthly check-in

We meet, look at what moved, decide what's next and clear blockers. You get a short written summary every month, and everything is tracked in your client portal in the TenXed app.

A three-month start

Every retainer begins with a three-month commitment. That is long enough to get the funding pipeline moving and see real change. After that, month to month.

Investment

Three levels of support

Pick the level that matches the size of your organisation and how fast you need to move. We confirm scope together after the free first hour. Prices exclude GST.
